avocado

my dad bought an avocado in borough market about 3 days ago. it wasnt ripe yet, so he put it at my bedhead (damn random place to put it right???).

then each consecutive day, i would remind him about it and ask him to eat it already, but he would keep saying that its too hard, not ripe yet.

this morning, my parents returned to malaysia. a few moments ago, i picked up the avocado. the end was damn mushy dy! -____-"

i think we all know by now that im horrible at selecting "just a few" photos from my photo albums. i always end up chucking 90% of all the pictures i took into my blog, because i think they all look nice. wtf

but this time, with great self-control, i selected my very very favourite pictures from the lot of over 100 pictures and ended up with less then 20 *proud* :D

graduation

i graduated today!

rice cooker

im in trouble...

i asked my mum to bring me a rice cooker, the a few days later, my friend gave me a rice cooker. i forgot to tell my mum not to buy one, so she bought one... now i'll have 2 rice cookers and a very upset mother o.0

im off to london to fetch my parents from heathrow tomorrow!
then we'll be spending a couple of days in london :)

my day and plans

so what did i do today?

i woke up at about 1pm and skyped with my parents for about 1 1/2 hours whilst popping cherries into my mouth. i had given my parents a list of hotel links (in the order of which i thought was best till the worst) and all they had to do was to book one of them for our paris trip. but no... they wanted to do their own research. then at the end of the discussion, we ended up booking the one i recommended anyway -__________________-

then i lazed about in bed for a bit. finally trudging to the kitchen to have some weetabix when i got too hungry. then at about 5pm, i dressed up and went to tesco to buy some ingredients for making gyoza.

when i got home, i immediately prepared the filling of the gyoza. then i put it into the fridge (it has to be kept in the fridge for at least an hour before wrapping. i dunno why. ask val =p) and went out for dinner at strada with min yuen.

before dinner, we went to print out '2 for one' vouchers, and now i have vouchers for cafe rouge, bella italia and ASK as well!

dinner was nice, but i still like prezzo better =p
after dinner, i brought min yuen to cafe noir which has the BESTEST creme brulee ever! u know how the texture of creme brulee is usually like custard? this one was smooth and so so creamyyyyy (bernie, u sooo gotta try this!)

then we went home and i started wrapping gyoza with the help of several 'helpers' (who i suspect did more damage than good).

after chatting for awhile, they left and i took a shower. now here i sit, freshly lotioned and typing a very journal like entry.

tomorrow, i gotta go to the city centre to buy more gyoza wrappers because i didnt get enough today. then i'll have to start packing already. im predicting i'll have a huge load of stuff to give to charity simply because i have too much stuff.

then (the word 'then' is so repetitive, but its the most suitable and convenient word!) on sunday, it'll be lunch at jeannie's place, then off i'll go to the airport to fetch my parents!

bicester

bicester village is a world renown outlet centre which houses many high end stores (ie. ted baker, ralph lauren, burberry, dior), all selling items very much below their usual prices.

and despite living a mere 20 minutes away, today was the 1st time i visited the village.

thank goodness i never visited it earlier... i would be so extremely broke and in debt now if i did.

everything is so damn cheap!

i bought a pair of 3/4 jeans from Guess for GBP15 (its so annoying that my keyboard has no pound symbol!) and a pair of long jeans for GBP21.50!!! the total came to GBP36.50 which even when converted back to ringgit is only RM211.70!!! u cant even buy one pair of jeans from the Guess in malaysia for that price!

burberry scarves were really cheap too... 2 for about GBP40+ and its burberry wei! i was attracted by a gorgeous baby pink scarf, but i thought it would be better to wait till my parents came ;)

i also bought a cap from puma (bernie, its the same kind as yours! but white la.) GBP7, and 2 scarves/belts from accessorize for GBP1 each! 0.o

im definitely gonna bring my parents there! :D

sorry for the sporadic short updates! but on top of refusing to open facebook and search engines (ie google and yahoo), my lappie now refuses to open blogger. le sigh.

and it doesnt help that im supposed to be helping my parents look for accommodation in paris for our trip. aduhaiiii

i passed everything!!! results are not as spectacular as i hoped, but the point is that i managed to get into bar school! woot!!!

absinthe

i drank absinthe last night! and im quite impressed with myself that i did not pass out or black out at all last night! maybe it was because i forced myself to puke 15 mins later because i was afraid i might get too drunk. WTF

but i did get damn high (and later i got damn dizzy and had a small hangover when i woke up at 5am to pee, but by the time i woke up at 1pm, i felt right as rain!)! and it was so awesome because i cant remember the last time i got so high (usually when i drink i just puke my guts out and blackout. WTF. i cant drink for shit T_T)

total damage last night:
1 tequila shot
1 absinthe
1 tequila rose

shut up u alcoholics! this is an impressive list for someone of my low calibre!
(and stop worrying cherie, all i paid for was my entrance fee)

sorry for the lack of updates, i've been pretty lazy busy.

results will be out on the 15th (wish me luck!) and my parents will be here on the 21st. which reminds me... i have yet to book a place for them to stay :S

i wake up everyday hoping for sun, but all i get is clouds and wind. dammit. i want to go and frolic in the park! give me sun! T_T
